Today's release of the WattIQ Cloud system introduces Announcements: a simple mechanism for seeing news, notes on new features, and notification of planned maintenance activities (this is rare).
Notifications will usually point to a release note or article here on our Support Portal (https://support.wattiq.io), so our users can learn about new functionality. When there is a new announcement, the "loudspeaker" icon in the upper right corner of the menu bar (near the user menu) will appear in red if there are any announcements you have not seen.
When you click on the red loudspeaker icon, a popup dialog box will show you a summary of the recent announcements:
Each announcement typically has a link to our Support Portal documentation, or in some cases to a news item or website. To see everything you might have missed, simply click "view all" to see the full page list of items.
Minor Improvements
This release also adds some minor additional functionality to the Hardware > Sensors property dialog box, under the Advanced tab: the ability to remotely reboot a sensor. This functionality can be useful if you suspect there is a data flow issue, and want to see if the sensor comes back onto the mesh network after a reboot.
In this release, we also fixed the following issues:
- An error message was occurring when replacing a sensor hub with new hardware; this is now resolved.
- Two small issues with uploading CSV files with label metadata for assets are resolved -- uploading a CSV when you already have done so in the past no longer causes an error message, and non-ASCII characters are allowed in label keys or values.
